Katt Williams' best movies and TV shows mostly see him starring as a version of himself, almost always as comedic relief. Williams is a stand-up comedian who made his name by performing in comedy clubs around the United States, and made a big name for himself by 1999. This caught the attention of Hollywood and television producers, who brought Williams in to apply his trade in various films and TV shows, and it didn't take long for Williams to become a star.
He got his first movie role on Friday After Next, the third movie in that franchise, and then joined forces with Tracy Morgan to take on a featured role in his sitcom. From there, Williams ended up taking several roles as a comedy supporting actor and guest star in films and TV shows while continuing to work on his stand-up comedy career. Father Figures is a comedy movie released in 2017 with Owen Wilson and Ed Helms in the lead roles. They play Kyle and Peter Reynolds, fraternal twins raised by their mother Helen (Glenn Close). Neither knew who their father was, as they thought he had died before their birth. However, when they learn that their mom might have lied about their father dying, they set out to find out who their dad is by meeting all the guys whom Helen dated over the years. This includes everyone from NFL legend Terry Bradshaw to J.K. Simmons' Roland Hunt.
Katt Williams plays a hitchhiker who Kyle and Peter meet while they are on their journey to find their dad. His character has no name, and he says that he is a "magic man" there to help send them on their way. Mostly, he is there for comedic effect, and it is his positive advice that helps feud their journey. The movie didn't do well critically, with a low 17% Rotten Tomatoes score, while it made $25.6 million at the box office with a $25 million budget (via Box Office Mojo).
9 2 Minutes Of Fame (2020)

Katt Williams and Jay Pharoah led the way in the 2020 comedy 2 Minutes of Fame. Directed by Leslie Small, who also directed several of Kevin Hart's standup specials, this movie follows Pharoah as Deandre, a standup comedian who becomes an online viral sensation and moves to Los Angeles to attempt to become a movie star. Keke Palmer stars as his wife Sky, who supports him while caring for his house and kids.
Katt Williams plays Marques, a bigger-named comedian whom Deandre was impersonating in his viral video. This puts the two of them in direct competition, as Marquez is not going to give up his place at the top of the standup rankings to someone who is mostly just impersonating him. The movie received better reviews than many of Williams' starring efforts, with a solid 63% positive rating on the Rotten Tomatoes audience-based Popcornmeter, with praise going to the humor.
8 For The Love Of Money (2021)

Katt Williams did something completely different in 2021's For the Love of Money. Rather than continuing to work in comedies, he took on a role in a crime thriller. He re-teamed with director Leslie Small, who also worked with him on 2 Minutes of Fame here and played a character named Pastor G. The movie follows Keri Hilson as Gigi Davis, a woman who faces growing financial problems thanks to a custody battle with her husband for her child.
When some people threaten her daughter, it leads Gigi to a world that she had previously left behind, a world of danger to ensure that she can protect her daughter and regain control of her life. Katt Williams plays a very different role here, as he is not comic relief at all, forcing him to step outside his wheelhouse. He plays a calm and collected enforcer and is dangerous but never funny as he moves through this story. The movie has an 80% approval rating on the audience Popcornmeter at Rotten Tomatoes.

My Wife and Kids is a sitcom from the early 2000s that stars Damon Wayans and Tisha Campbell-Martin as a husband and wife who are working to make ends meet. It was a successful show, running for five seasons and 123 episodes. It was also one of Katt Williams' earlier television roles, as he joined the series as a recurring cast member in the fifth season, playing Bobby Shaw.
Katt Williams' role was as an antagonist to Damon Wayans' Michael and he did everything he could to make life hard for the man and his family. For Williams, his first movie role was as Money Mike, a pimp who runs a shop called "Pimps and Hoes."

Friday is a classic of the buddy comedy genre that features a memorable cast of actors. Sadly, there are a few in the Friday cast who have died.
The movie received mostly negative reviews, sitting at 26% rotten on Rotten Tomatoes. However, the audience was a lot more appreciative of the raunchy drug humor of the film, and rated it at a quite high 75% positive on the Popcornmeter with over 100,000 ratings. When looking at what made it worth watching, some audience members said it didn't match up to the first two movies but was still funny and remained entertaining. Its soundtrack also peaked at No. 23 on the charts.

The Last O.G. is a comedy TV series co-created by Jordan Peele that stars Tracy Morgan as Tray, a convict released after 15 years in prison. He returns home to Brooklyn and sees that his neighborhood has been completely gentrified, and his ex-girlfriend is raising their kids with another man. The entire basis is that he is still living the same style and life he did 15 years earlier in a world that has moved on without him.
Katt Williams only appears in one episode of The Last O.G., where he takes on the role of Fred in the season 3 episode "Family Feud." Fred is a long-time rival and cousin of Tray, and since this episode takes place over the Thanksgiving holiday, it provides a lot of family feuding as Tray's kids learn that things are not normal in their extended family, with Fred just part of the problem. In all, The Last O.G. received critical praise and won a BET Award for Tiffany Haddish.

After a one-shot appearance on NYPD Blue, Katt Williams joined The Tracy Morgan Show in 2003, where he played Freddie in the main cast. The Tracy Morgan Show saw Morgan star as Tracy Mitchell, a man who owns an auto repair garage. He is also a family man with a wife (Tamala Jones), a teen son (Mark John Jefferies), and a seven-year-old son (Bobb'e J. Thompson). Also featured in the main cast is his Aunt Pearl (Esther Scott).
As for Katt Williams, he stars in the cast as Freddie, a man who works for Tracy at the auto repair garage, and is often a source of humor when Tracy starts to see things in his life getting a little out of control. The series only lasted for one season before it ended up disappearing when The Box Comedy changed into Comedy Central. There were 16 episodes aired and there were two more that were shot but not initially released on television thanks to the network's changes.

Wild 'N Out is a sketch comedy show that was hosted by Nick Cannon. It was mostly a battle rap improv game show and saw Cannon invite a lot of big names in comedy onto the show to compete. It is very similar to the show Whose Line Is It Anyway? with two teams of comedians battling each other in improvisational games. The show had a lot of comedians and rappers show up to compete in its 21 seasons on the air. With 313 episodes on MTV, it was very successful.
Katt Williams was listed as one of the stars of the first three seasons. While there were plenty of stars who did the show much longer, being one of the OG participants was still a big deal for the hit series. Wild 'N Out was a long-running hit that is still going, although Nick Cannon is no longer part of the series. This came after he made some off-color remarks in a podcast appearance and ViacomCBS fired him, which ended his run on the show.

Katt Williams voices a fun character named "A Pimp Named Slickback" in the critically-acclaimed animated series, The Boondocks. What started out as a guest role in season 1 turned into a recurring role in season 2. A Pimp Named Slickback has several funny moments, the best of which is that he demands people call him by that full name when addressing him. In the end, he is a stereotypical example of a pimp on the show, and the animation actually makes it look like Katt Williams.
The Boondocks is one of the best socially aware Cartoon Network series ever created. It tells the story of a Black family moving into a predominantly white suburb and trying to maintain their culture in the middle of stereotypes, social classes, and racialized identities. It only aired for four seasons, and while Max originally attempted to relaunch it, that fell through. But during its run, The Boondocks has won several awards, including and NAACP Image Award for Outstanding Writing in a Comedy Series and a Peabody Award.

While Katt Williams only appeared in one episode, his siunglar appearance allowed him to take part in one of the best comedy shows on television this century. In 2022, Williams appeared on Atlanta as Willie in the episodes "Alligator Man" and "Light Skinned-ed." The second appearance was the fourth episode of the fourth season and sees Williams starring as Earn's (Donald Glover) uncle. The episode itself sees Earn's mother, Gloria, decide she will steal his grandfather from her sister Jeanie because she doesn't like how they are treating him.
Katt Williams won a Primetime Emmy Award for his guest-starring role in Atlanta.
This brings trouble at home with his Aunt Jeanie, his mother Gloria, and their siblings, Pearl (Teresa L. Graves) and Willie (Katt Williams). Atlanta was hugely successful during its four-season run and won several huge awards, including two Golden Globe Awards for Best Television Series—Musical or Comedy, a Globe for Glover, and two Primetime Emmy Awards, one for Glover and one for directing, the first time an African American has ever won that award at the Emmys.
