ORCA has two manufacturing facilities – one in Nashville, the other in Streetsboro, Ohio – where all of their products are made.

It originally was used as a lobster boat under the name of Warlock. The production team revamped it with some paint and added a mast pulpit. It became known on set as Orca 1. This is the boat used in most of the regular fishing scenes.

The term “head” used for a marine toilet started because of the location of the toilet on the earliest sailing ships. For crewmen, the facilities were located at the head of the ships. The front of ships had a figurehead: a carved wooden figure or bust fitted on the bow of the ship.

A “dragger” is a fishing vessel that tows a trawl net. A trawl can be dragged along the bottom of the seafloor, just above the bottom, or in midwater depending on the target species. In the early 1920's the Connecticut fishing industry began producing what is known today as the Western-rig dragger.

An airboat is also known as a fan boat, plane boat, swamp boat, bayou boat, etc. They have flat bottoms that have large propellers powered by automobile motors or jet engines. Legend has it that Alexander Graham Bell created the first airboat in1905 but was not used much by civilians until the 1930s.
